Pineapple Upside Down Cake

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
slices pineapple in juice (from 14-oz can), drained
maraschino cherries
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter flavor crisco melted
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1 egg

melt butter pour into bottom of 9×12 pan,Place pineapple rings on top, add cherries to middle of rings spread brown sugar on top of pineapples

in bowl mix flour salt, sugar, baking powder set aside

next whisk egg, milk, and add to dry mixture then add crisco mix well then pour ontop of brownsugar in pan.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Flip onto cake plate when cooled.
