Slow Cooker Sweet BBQ Chicken


6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (each breast should be about 6 oz)
18 oz Sweet BBQ Sauce – we used Sweet Baby Rays sauce
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. pepper
2 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp. onion powder
12 oz jar Peach Preserves

1.Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker
2.In a large bowl mix together remaining ingredients
3.Pour BBQ mixture over chicken
4.Cook on low for 6-7 hours, or until chicken is cooked through and shreds easily
5.Remove chicken and shred with 2 forks
6.Return shredded chicken to slow cooker and toss to combine with the sauce
7.Continue to cook on low for 30 minutes, or until ready to serve
8.*We served with buns for BBQ sandwiches & baked potatoes for stuffed BBQ Potatoes
9.**This will freeze beautifully, just make sure to let it cool down & then place in air tight freezer container, will be good for 2-3 months
